trying to create a sequence but it's only playing the first beat.  Not sure how to extend the length of the overall sequence

you probably have SYNC SOURCE SELECT set to something other than INTERNAL. go into UTILITY > SETTINGS and assign SYNC SOURCE SELECT to "INTERNAL", and you'll be good.* (full info below)

* if you DO NOT have SYNC SOURCE SELECT as an option but you DO see "MIDI I/F SELECT", then you should save your Project and update your SP-16 firmware to the latest firmware (v1.60): https://support.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405128836121-TORAIZ-SP-16-Firmware
