SERATO LICENSE XDJ-XZ

With ALL Serato Pro DJ controllers from Pioneer DJ, the hardware unlocks the software.  You can also upgrade from Lite to Pro DJ (for a cost), or buy the Club Kit (for a cost), otherwise you're always supported with unlocking software with the hardware.

Do we have to purchase a license even after we paid a fortune for this unit. 

Rekordbox comes standard with a license with the purchase of the unit, surely the Serato license should also be attached. 

You must go to Serato and download the Serato Pro software its free, but you must update the Firmware for the controller form Pioneer website before you install Serato Pro.

You don't - it's unlocked by the hardware.

Well in my opinion we did not pay a fortune for this controller, what we got is 2 club CDJs and a club Mixer for almost half the price in one unit. $2300 versus $6000.

Nice! Hope they will be available soon again. Mine is in backorder for a loooooooong time
