cdj900 to display .1 bpm counter like 2000?

hi there, on firmware 3.01 releases and above for cdj2000's they have a bpm counter in the bottem right hand corner of the display which shows the .1 increments such as 120.1 bpm. is this a feature which will become avaliable on a future firmware release with cdj900's?

thanks in advance

Morgo

No the cdj 900's screen can not support the function and no firmware and change that.

Morgo

And no firmware will change that* It was ment to say. ;)

@Travellingporn > Unfortunately, hardware limitations mean that adding a decimal place on the CDJ900 won't be possible - this was an option with the CDJ2000 due to the difference in the displays (dot matrix vs LCD).

travellingpom

thanks for the update that explains clearly. would love to see the waveform display and bpm counter displaying on rekordbox in realtime in the future. would be a nice touch

Gavin

@Travellingporn > what do you mean? Rekordbox analysed files display the full waveform and BPM instantly on the CDJ. If you don't use Rekordbox the waveforms will need to build during playback...

Morgo

Think travellinpom means a bit like traktor. Eg Rekordbox show the Bpm and wave form of the loaded track on each deck.

travellingpom

thats right Morgo. i am not after Traktor functionality just displaying the waveform such as on cdj2000's on the laptop. this would compensate for the small waveform readout on the display of the cdj900. nothing fancy like moving waveforms just the waveform with progress bar (same as cdj2000)'s

Gavin

@Travellingporn > Ah! Gotcha, will suggest.

travellingpom

thankyou! would be an amazing touch for cdj 900 users to have a decent waveform display on the laptop screen to make up for the one on the cdj. obviously cdj 2000 users already have the luxury!

Gavin

@travellingporn > And they paid extra for that luxury, remember ;)
