SB3 Headphone/Speaker cuing delay

SB3 Headphone/Speaker cuing delay

SB3 Headphone/Speaker cuing delay

Using Serato pro, Sony-gtk-xb7bc speakers, JBL E-Series headphones

The problem is the delay between cuing in my headphones and the speaker. It works well if I use a cheap soundbar but then the problem exists if I switch it to a larger speaker

What should I replace or do differently with my set up? Thank you very much.

The speaker likely has some audio processing causing the output delay between the master and the headphones. I'd recommend either disabling any processing (if possible) or using a different speaker.

How do I disable any processes? Is it possible that I connect the Speaker directly to my Mac via usb?what proceses should I look out for?

You'd have to look at the Sony manual to figure that out - they may have a "direct" mode which bypasses the audio processing, but other than that, I'm not sure what other options you may have.

And no, you wouldn't benefit by connecting the speaker to your computer directly - if anything, that would increase latency.
