Needle search with DDJ-XP1?
I'm interested in purchasing the DDJ-XP1 but I'm wondering whether it's possible to MIDI map the slide FX to do a needle search in Rekordbox?
Also, is it possible to map play/pause and cue as well to buttons on the XP1?

What controller are you using? The issue is that the controller will take precedence and be the default. If you are not using a controller then some midi functions can be changed but some can't. In other software the buttons can be set to play pause, but in rekordbox it will default to a control surface.
Well that's my point, I'm wondering how much control I can have with the XP1 alone. I don't currently have any other Pioneer controllers, only a pair of Traktor D2 and a pair of 1210s

Back to my original question - will I be able to use the XP1's slide FX to do needle search (either using on its own or with another controller attached)?
I haven't tried it, but I believe you can map the touch strip to the needle search MIDI function.
