Rekordbox HID mode with CDJ 2000 not connecting
Hey all.
I connected my MacBook with Rekordbox in HID mode with the older CDJ 2000's, using an older USB hub.
I bought a brand new one and when i next returned to the club i could not connect. I initially did, then the display changed on one deck and it wasn't recognising the track but showed the waveform, played ok for a while then wouldnt play at all.
The other deck did connect.
I re-did the aggregator tool and each time it would then only recognise the one deck.
Could this be that i need an older usb 2 hub, or something else?
also the link failed after a while so i had to use 2 x usb sticks...
Any suggestion would be great thanks
ps - also noticed one deck had quantise on display for looping but the other didn't - if anyone knows how to activate this that would be great too.

Could have been a faulty USB cable or port... too many variables to really tell you what caused it.
I'd suggest you start by connecting each deck directly, one at a time, to ensure that they are able to communicate with the computer - that eliminates the port, cable, and player as the problem. Next, add the hub into the equation, but still only connect each deck one at a time. If one CDJ doesn't appear, then the problem is the hub.
Re: Quantize, simply press the Quantize button to enable it.
Thanks Pulse. The CDJ's are the older ones not Nexus - i couldn't see a quantise button on it? But one deck had it on in its display screen - which button enables it? is it done through the menu button?
sorry i usually use the newer nexus 2000's not often do i use the old 2000's! and when i do its in dark clubs!
I did try each deck and still had issues, i think it may have been the hub, was a cheap one off eBay. My older usb 2.0 hub worked fine the week before i'll try that next time
cancel that Pulse - managed to find it online in the manual, through menu button :)
