DDJ ERGO V and ipad
hi,
I’ve been trying to use the DDJ-ERGO-V controller with an ipad air 2 (ios 11.4) without success. Software is djaypro by Algoriddim. I have also bought the DJC-WeCAi cable and a wall adapter (2 usb ports – one 1A and the other 2.4A – 5V voltage) and an Apple Lightning male - USB 2.0 Camera female (MD821) adapter.
When I connect everything the controller lights turn on but I get a message from the ipad. Something like: ‘’use of this device is not possible – PIONEER DDJ-ERGO: the connected device requires a lot of power.’’
Any suggestions please?

Sorry, the DDJ-ERGO is not designed as a device for use with the iPad. The WeCAi cable was made for the DDJ-WeGO and is not intended for the ERGO.
I would suggest you use the ERGO with a computer, or consider the WeGO1/2/3 models for use with djay on the iPad.

I stand corrected -- totally forgot that was compatible.
Are you using the RED connector with a USB power supply capable of 2A?
Oh, and I can't confirm if that unit will work with the lightning-to-30pin adapter.
thanks again.i am using the red usb connector with 2.4A usb power supply.Also as required for the connection of the djc-wecai cable I am using a lightning male to USB female apple adapter and not a lightning to 30pin adapter.Also I made sure that ddj ergo has the latest firmware 1.41.
Sorry, the ERGO was made prior to the Lightning devices, so I can't say for sure if it's even compatible.
What is the hardware and iOS version you're trying to use it with?
