Using Pro Link CDJ to CDj rather than via DJM V10
Hi, I have 2 cdj's and a V10. If I link one cdj to another with a LAN cable direct rather than via a switch out the back of the V10 am I limiting any features on the players or mixer? Thanks

Yes - you'd miss out on:
- effects having beat quantization for instant matching of the tempo (it would detect the BPM through the audio instead)
- "on air" status of the players (jog turning red) when the channel fader is open
- link cue (when linking with rekordbox)
Thanks, sounds like a no brainer to use a switch. Shame they didn't fit into the V10. My old DJM-2000 had the built in luxury.
Well. I am, fed ul with this behaviour of Pioneer. The arrogance. I buy each time the newest latest flagship products. The build in hub in the pioneer djm 2000 was the best option it had. Only Pioneer suddenly came out with the djm 2000 Nexus. So suddenly the 2000 wasn't the populair anymore. Eventually I sold iot flor a ridiculous low price! Same with the Pioneer cdj 2000's. A short time you came with the Nexus! And now you did it again!!!! Not opnly I have to use an ugly external hub, but within no time you come with the LF version! I am so fed up and this will be my very last time I buy anything from pioneer again. And you can pretend being the best- But with this arrogant mentality I will tell you, you will lose (and probably) lost already, your spot on being the #1 DJ equipement in the world. I for sure will make sure anyone I know will find about my experience about spending thousands of euros. When the competition is not only cheaper, but also same or even better quality wise. And all is because of your arrogance. It can not be that you did not already have p[lkans for new models at the time of manufacturing the LF version. So what is next that you alrerady have planning to sell, so we have again not the best latest model for tears to enjoy? It was just so easy to include the hub into the DJ V10. So I';m sure you save that for another generation. I feel scammed over and over!
And I forgot to mention that it is a 6 channel mixer. But I can not link my 4 nexus 2's together with my DJS 1000 and a turntable. How can you pretend it being a 6 channel mixer when the link option can not be used for 4 cd's a. turntable and 1 DJS 1000? No offcourse, you make sure people can only use it if the buy 6 CDJ 3000's. Is that your strategy? I call it tricking people!
I'm not sure how you somehow expect the CDJ-2000 family of products / DJS to magically support 6 devices when the networking hardware is limited to 4... 🧐
It's called moving forward with changes to technology. I'm sorry you feel we've slighted you.
