Incorrect serial number format to register Pioneer product

Hi all,

I found this section where you can add and register your Pioneer products.
For some reason it does not want to accept my DJM900 serial code? My two CDJ's serials were accepted no problem. Just something I am curious about, but not a train smash.

Warr

I'm getting the same error when trying to register my DDJ-REV1

Pulse

Looks like it's short a digit; should be 4 letters, 6 numbers, 2 letters.

Warr

My DDJ-REV1's serial number only has 4 letters, 5 numbers & 2 letters. The serial number sticker looks like its missing a number :-(

Pulse

Hmmm, possible that the REV1 has a shorter sequence. Let me inquire with the web team.

Pulse

Could you both please post photos of your product serial numbers so our team can verify?

Warr

No problem, this is a photo from the bottom of the DDJ-REV1

Warr

...and this is from the box it came in.

Pulse

Hmmm... that's not right. You can see on the back of the DDJ that another sticker has been removed and it doesn't feature the "key" number which accompanies the serial. I've passed this to our product team for review, but can you tell me who the retailer was?

Pulse

Warr,

Our teams have confirmed that the serial number stickers on your product (both on the box and the DDJ itself) have been replaced. Unfortunately that is not a valid Pioneer DJ serial number and cannot be registered. We'll direct you to contact your retailer for more information.

Warr

I got the Rev-1 from Pioneer South Africa. I got one of the very few that came into the country. I have emailed them about the issue. Thanks for all the help so far.

Pulse

Directly from the company or from a retailer?
