Having trouble running rekordbox in in export mode

Currently I have two CDJ 2000 NXS2s and a DJM900NXS2 mixer setup in link connected to an ethernet switch. I have a USB cable from mixer to my laptop, as well as an ethernet cable.

Everything is working in performance mode and sound outputting to mixer. The problem is I don't get the beat grid/phase meter in performance mode.

When I use export mode however I click the link button and drag and drop tracks, but I'm getting no input/sound on the mixer. Anyone know what this could be?

Do you have audio cables run between your CDJs and the mixer channel inputs?
