XDJ-XZ FIRMWARE PROBLEMS
Good evening Good morning Good afternoon. Anyone with firmware issues? Can't connect my Macbook or my Windows machine. Funny thing though is that both machines connect to my CDJ 350'S. But not the XDJ-XZ. Your feedback would be highly appreciated.

Please try following the instructions here to see if this resolves the issue for your XDJ not being recognized by the computer.

Sorry about that! Seems it's an archived article... here's the basics:
Open the Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup application.
Click Window > Show MIDI Studio (if it is not already visible)
Click the drop-down at the top of the window (may say "Default"), and click New Configuration... - give it a name, click OK.
See if the XZ appears as a solid-colored object instead of "ghosted."
I am having the same problem on my windows machine running Windows10Pro
it shows as a soundcard in Rekordbox6 however not as a midi device.
I've also logged a ticket but no one is getting back to me.

Conclusion.... The problem here lies in the USB B PORT JACK CONNECTOR. I have tried 2 different laptops Windows 10 pro machine and a Macbook pro machine. Macbook showed not connected on the XZ screen and in audio settings it didn't show the audio files to load. The Windows machine gave me an error message saying USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED in the audio settings it gave me ERROR WHILE OPENING XDJ-XZ ASIO WHILE OPENING. I tried 4 different machines to make sure. Tried various USB cables as well to make sure. Machine is currently at the South African distributors PRO AUDIO getting fixed. Will wait for their report and update this message. Firmware is up to date. Please everything else on the controller still works.
