Cdj 850 with traktor via usb sound cut problem

Hello! Since there are cdjs involved, Ill post this problem here and also in the NI Traktor forums.

Ive recently been testing cdjs 850 along with Traktor and I have been experiencing a weird situation. I was able to properly configure the cdjs on the traktor software, but when i press play, the song will play for around 20 secs then the sound will drop, no signal on the mixer channel, however, on the traktor software the track continues to play.

If I press play/pause on the cdjs, the signal returns to the mixer and keeps playing for another 20 secs, and I have to press play again

Has anyone run into this?

Gavin

@Arthur > What version of Traktor are you running? What are your computers specs / setup?

Arthur C

It is traktor scratch pro 2.0.01(R10169)

the laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1545

Pentium Dual Core T4400@2.20ghz

4gigs ram

Win 7 64 Home Premium

Try updating; 2.1.2 is the current version of Traktor.

Also, try increasing the latency setting in the audio configuration one step higher.

I am also experiencing the same problem with virtual dj. I read somewhere that it might be a fault from the USB hub that I use but it works well with my VMS4 and also DDM4000. It's a pity I bought such a nice and expensive cdj but can't use them.

@Christian > Then try another hub or connect them direct.

In my case, I dont use a hub, straight to the laptop
