I just received my unit and New to rekordbox. I had the 900 and I sold them to purchase this unit. I plugged in a fat 32 2TB DRIVE WITH OUT rekordbox and no issues. Can I get the the wave forms to display fully or do I need to utilize rekordbox and populate all playlist in rekordbox then export to my 2TB Drive?

Yes; analyse them in rekordbox, then export them to the USB device you'll use with the XDJ.
yes you need to analyze all files in rb first and then export them to your drive and you will see the live/moving waveforms etc.
