Timestretch - not great quality

I have to say that I find the time-stretching algorithm to be quite weak compared to those I use in Ableton, Octatrack and others.

I generally turn it off, which is fine when you are sampling into the current project (and don't plan on many tempo changes), but it's a pain when you go to import samples from other projects that might have different tempos, as the quality can sometimes be a show stopper (even if drenched in FX!)

I wonder if Pioneer are working on improving it?

If you're talking timestretch, yes. Not being able to adjust the quality is bad. I have some loops that don't even need timestretched because they are at the proper tempo already and when you turn it on, it makes them unusable.

Yes, that's what I meant to type. Edited. Thx.

Most loops sound great though. I think the ability t declare what type of sound the loop is would be helpful. Every other timestretching box I've used, you told the gear whether it was a beat, a voice, a polyphonic instrument or whatever and it adjusted the algorithm to suit that type of sound.

yup been sayin this as well... time stretch quality kinda really sucks! It's not CDJ quality >:(

now the mpc live is starting to look really nice to me.

same here guys.  I cant believe how bad it is. because of the poor sampling engine im experiencing additional "off-tempo|  pulses on various FQ levels. [ when Pitched down -> slow pulses etc ) That is sadly unacceptable for a professional live producer.

I am waiting for the update release then I ll make my mind up wether to get something else. 1.4k its quite a lot to ask for, especially considering other tempting products on the market for 3rd of its price.  peace yo !
