DDJ T1

Hello. I want to buy a DDJ T1 but i have some questions:

It's posible use traktor pro 2 (Full version with all effects, sampler, etc like a S4) in the DDJ T1.

If it's posible i need to buy the software? or de DDJ T1 include it when i buy it?

I can use the DDJ T1 with the sampler like traktor s4? or i need for example a Traktor X1?

Thanks!

(im spanish speak the more simple posible plzz) :)

First think to say, The Pioneer DDJ T1 is ship with the Traktor LE (Manufacturing Edition) wich is not eqal to Traktor Pro, if u want traktor pro u have to Buy the Upgrade (as Download)

The Sampler think is a little bit tricky, cause the "Lost sampler section" on the Pioneer DDJs design but you can Remap the Sampler by yourself on Traktor.

I Prefer the Pioneer DDJ - T1 + 1 Native Instruments X1

If I update my DDJ To traktor pro 2 i pay the software complete? or only 69€?

The sampler will be in the DDJ T1 or in the Traktor X1?

Thanks!

Have you tried to read a description/manual of this controller?

You have to Buy the Upgrade (Upgrade from "Traktor LE" Traktor Manufakturing Edition)

http://www.native-instruments.com/#/de/products/dj/traktor-pro-2/?page=2234

It Coast 129,-€

Its on you where the Sampler would be.

For Traktor Pro 2 exists a new Mapping file for the Pioneer DDJ T1 to Enable the Sampleslots on Deck A and D (3 and 4 of course)

but i like the 4Player Configuration with all sample features on the X1 !

Not exactly - it's not an upgrade from LE, it's an upgrade from Pioneer T1 edition, but yes, you have to pay for that rather than the full version.

The DDJ-T1 doesn't have specific controls for the sampler the same way the S4 does as it was designed prior to the release of Traktor2 and as such has a slightly different implementation, but does still work.

I just bought the DDJ-T1. Would it be a problem if I upgrade my software to scratch pro 2? I like the new one since the visual is better than the one that i got from the package... and also, is it compatible with the DDJ T1? i wanted to be sure before I buy it since this was a little bit expensive and I don't want to just stare at it since I'm not able to use it. thanks

Pulse

@Pat > Just so you know, if you bought the DDJ-T1 and it shipped with Traktor 1, you get a free upgrade to Traktor 2.  If it's already v2 and you're wanting some of the layout customization with the Scratch Pro package, yes; it is compatible with the DDJ-T1.

What i have is version 1.2.8. Is this the 2nd version?

Pulse

@Pat > No, that's version 1.  If you've registered, you should contact Native Instruments' service & support, they will send out your upgrade serial number.

Can i uninstall the version 1 after installing version 2?

Pulse

Yes, they are two separate installations.

HI i have a doubt. I bought a ddj t1 controller and i was playing perfectly with it but later when I turned it on the lights started to flash slowly (like with low energy) What do i have to do to solve this?

Pulse

@Robert > Did the wall-power connector come disconnected from the unit?  The DDJ will operate on USB power, but has brighter lights and all outputs will operate at full power when you use the DC adapter.

Robert Rc

The wall-power connector is connected, also i changed to another connection but it doest work. The only buttons that shine correctly are the "In adjust button, out adjust button and the function button"

Pulse

Are you sure the wall adapter is working properly?  If you unplug it do other lights go dim?

Hi! Is it possible for me to use serrato using mg t1 control? I want to try video mixing. Thanks

Pulse

@pat > Yes; the T1 simply sends MIDI signal which the ScratchLive software can assign to any control.

Hi! I wanted to know if i can transfer my traktor software to a different laptop. I'm planning on upgrading my laptop so I will be transferring all the data that I have. Will I need a different product key to go about this? I'm thinking that there might be an error because of the product being registered to my old laptop.

Gavin

@Pat > If you contact Native Instruments they can help you out in transferring the license.
