I too have been experiencing freezes (loud embarrassing horn noise) everytime I use it. but i observed it only happens on the left channel. I dont & have never used or hook it up to any computer devices & use only usb stick or cds. At first I thought it was a USB (16/32) problem, but when I was playing a regular CD, the same problem occurs (loud horn & freeze) on the left channel only. The right channel would still work, but Id still have to turn on/off the controller! Is there an easy fix to this ongoing problem?

Yes, my device still does this occasionally :/

there's no pattern to its freezes or loud horn noises. It can happen after a few hours of use or sometimes it happens within less than an hour of use

Sorry, I don't understand the question. I just use the XDJ R1 the way I bought it, as a cd player & plug in my USB to play/mix music. How do I know or find out what firmware the player is using?

I don't plug any laptops, cell phones or computers to it at all. I don't even use the bluetooth/wi-fi button function at all

@Charlie > 1.03 is the factory release - there have been several fixes, including 1.13 which specifically indicates a "noise" fix.

Please update your firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.
