How do you set up a pair of CDJ850K using REKORDBOX as a controller

Hi guys im new to all this ive just bought a pair of CDJ 850K and im assuming you can use recordbox as mixing software like VDJ - Seeing the wav forms on the screen from the playing deck - the same a controller would do,

could someone please guide me with a video or tell me how this is done please

One USB cable from each deck (back socket) into the computer. Done.

Brian MrGee

Iv done that. Nothing happens. ive tried to drag a tune on the recordbox nothing happens on the cdj

Make sure both CD-players are connected, use the aggregator tool. I'm not sure what information will be available on the screen of the 850, keep in mind it's very limited.

Sorry you may think im stupid - all it says is PC Connected,

Whats a aggregator tool ?

The Henrik Maneuver

Use aggregator tool if you're on a Mac,  a bit down on this page: http://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/cdj-2000/

Did you get the option to choose deck on your CDJ's? Then it should be working.

iv installed the cdj drivers - restarted the laptop still nothing - im dragging a tune into the player on recordbox - im moving the jog wheel - nothings happening cdj shows:

J.P. Ownman

You can try it for 30 days ;-)

Otherwise it is only a preporation-tool for your USB-device(s)
