[SOLVED] MP3 DVD
Sorry for the simple question. From what i've read in the docs, the Nexus can read data DVD's with (say) MP3s on them. But I must be missing some point because I've yet to make a disk the Nexus can read. (oddly, a friend had a disk with drum loops and such on it, and the Nexus was able to read "some" of the loops (not all). So any whiz out there wanna tell me what I've missed/done stupid? (FW up to date) CDs work fine.

I would suggest the files on the disc may be the problem more than the dvd.
Make sure all the files are the correct MP3 / WAV format all in CBR and are not corrupt.
Another coaster, lol. Pristine files... even CBR. (I wonder why vbr can be played off a cd but not a dvd, hmmm.)
I did try a couple different types of media brand dvds with no luck. Oh well, i'll keep trying things, bound to stumble onto theanswer.
Its not about the media format ie CD / DVD its about what the unit can handle,
VBR is always frowned upon with the 2k's / nexus and maybe more.
even corrupt WAVS incorrectly encoded cause me issues with rekordbox and my 2ks.
@Bush Doktor > Use DVD-Rs rather than rewritable DVDs or DVD+R. Its also worthwhile scanning your MP3s for any issues using mp3val.
What software are you using to burn the DVDs?
@ Pionix: The mp3s I tried were CBR.
@Gavin: All mp3s I used were scanned by mp3val and good. But... I have been using DVD+R. (I'll grab some dvd-r's and try again)
Using either LG Burning tool or Cyberlink Power2go ver 6.2 to burn the disks.
DVD-Rs are a better option plus your burning tools aren't the best either.

Also noted.... When I insert a dvd with mp3's it spends some time trying to read the disk, then spits out the disk.
This would occur if there's an error with the disk, which is usually down to bad burning.
OK, problem solved.
I should have read my first message, I gave the answer. lol The problem is the file format the burner was using... they need to be written in ISO
9660/ Joliet, not UDF. The programs I tried (including Gavin's selection) start out in UDF format and I never thought to check what they were set at.
Once I switched to ISO everything was golden.
