Cdj 2000 says "wait" on a screen.

During my set and after inserting USB stick have got one of CDj 2000 frozen and keep "wait" loading sign on a screen.... Tried to rebooted, also load newest firmware but nothing work. Any suggestions?

@Serge > Several questions:

  • What version of rekordbox did you use to export to the USB device?
  • What is the make/model of the USB drive?
  • How is the USB drive formatted (FAT32, HFS+) ?
  • What are you trying to do when the freeze occurs?
Serge Goubanoff

Rekordbox is 3.3.0
PNY USB drive
FAT 32
rebooted to factory settings:
1. Turn off cdj
2. Hold eject and usb/stop button on top left corner until it boots up
3. Turn power on while holding those 2 buttons until says restored
4. Power off and on
Also tried to update firmware but I have had latest one anyway.
Thanks,

Pulse

What are you trying to do when the freeze occurs?

Serge Goubanoff

What a question). Trying to ask for your advise. Is any ways to fix it or I should send it to you?

Pulse

@Serge > You should answer my question if you want advise on what's going wrong and how to fix it.

What are you doing when the freeze occurs?!

Serge Goubanoff

Tryied to reboot it. Power off / power on. Switched USB device. Tried to load cd, another USB but nothing worked.

Pulse

What do you mean "switched USB device" ?

Is the USB drive connected when you power-up the player? Or are you inserting it and going to browse?

Serge Goubanoff

No USB inserted when I was unplugging Cdj. Also no link cable and other cables except power.

Very late to this party... 2020 here.

But I had my Cdj2000 do this. After doing Factory/Firmware reset/reflash I actually found pulling the power whilst live aka, ghetto reset was the thing that worked.

Can't guarantee this method won't make the problem worse but at this stage you have a bricked CDJ anyway so whats the harm
