Traktor/Nicecast broadcasting

Heya guys!

I got the following. I am a happy user of Traktor and a Ergo V Pioneer. Now I bought a Shure SV100 microphone and hooked it up on the Ergo. Broadcasting I do trough Nicecast. But somehow when I open up nicecast or traktor I don't get the output levels as I get when I'm using Skype and the Ergo-V connected.

Anybody knows and could help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I'm not sure what might be happening as you're using a combination of hardware and software beyond our support.

Have you checked that the master output level from Traktor is up?

Ben Kuipers

I did check it, on top it doesn't work and on the back it's all opened up.

The output just keep on being very low, even when I use the auto duck filter in nicecast. I put the Mic on Deck D and put the gain up, high to very high. Still then it's too low to go over the music. And when I am connected with the Ergo and the mic to Skype it's hyper sensitive and is much louder.

I also checked the Audio/MIDI configuration on my Mac. And when I hook up the Ergo I can't adjust the volume or anything, is that normal aswell?

Pulse

You can't adjust the volume within the software as those levels have hardware controls to manipulate the volume.

See on deck D? Turn the gain up and the mic levels should get better.

Ben Kuipers

I did so, it tends to get better a little but the output of the mic is still far too low somehow.

Pulse

Do you have the mic input turned up on both the back level and the mic/aux level as well?

Ben Kuipers

It was up and as I run traktor and nicecast for a few minutes it works fine but after that the sound goes all low. Unnoticable for listeners.
