Rekordbox does not play continuously.
If a playlist is selected directly in RB and a song is played on the player the next songs are not played in sequence (in previous versions it works normally). This way you can not listen to a playlist continuously.
I have not done the test if the same problem occurs when playing directly from RB on a CDJ.

Do you mean while in playlist mode? In that case gotta use it in the simple player mode in order for the tracks to play in order...
