In the official promo video for the new mixer, at 8:20 James Zabiela shows what looks like live sampling.
Is this correct?

He is utilizing the new HELIX effect which essentially grabs a loop from the selected channel on which he was using the NOISE sound color effect. Then he adjusted the timing and added the DUB ECHO sound color effect.
Sounds cool.
Would this be similar to the beat slice of the DJM 2000nxs?
Does Helix simply capture a loop? Do we know the maximum loop size?
It simply captures a loop. When the timing of the loop is changed, the pitch is adjusted up if you shorten and down if you extend. The maximum loop size is 8 beats or 4000 milliseconds.
