Hello Daniel,

Did you go through the Firmware update guide?
file:///C:/Users/Keiko/Downloads/XDJ-RX_update_guide_En.pdf

Would you please follow the steps in the update guide?
If you still have any issues, please reply back here.

Hello Daniel,

We would like to ask you several questions to sort out your problem.
1. What version of XDJ-RX do you currently use?
2. Did you unzip the .zip file after downloading from the website?
3. Can you find .upd file in the root directory of the USB device used for the firmware update?

Thank you very much for your kind cooperation.

@Daniel > Did you possibly use Safari to download the firmware zip file?

Daniel Subroto

yes indeed.. are there any diff?

Pulse

Safari seems to do funny things to the firmware and driver updates, try using another web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc.)

Daniel Subroto

i did.. i used chrome and download the firmware again.. btw do i have to download the driver update too?

Pulse

If you weren't able to update the drivers previously, then you could. It won't hurt it!

Daniel Subroto

could i used my mac to update the firmware?

Pulse

I'm not sure I understand the question...?

Daniel Subroto

to update the firmware on my rx can i used my macbook instead of the usb drive? and im not sure i fully understand the difference between firmware and the driver.. could you elaborate more?

Daniel Subroto

theres no difference... it still wont allow the progress bar to appear.. and i used chrome to download the firmware file this time..

Pulse

@Daniel > Firmware is the code within the XDJ-RX itself, drivers are bits of program on your computer that allow hardware to interface with it.

After downloading, did you unzip the update file and copy it to the USB drive?
Did you then hold the two buttons while powering-on the RX and only after the update indicator is on screen, connect the USB drive?

How is the USB drive formatted?

Daniel Subroto

usb drive is formatted to FAT 32 because its my main rekordbox library but i moved the file to my ssd and clear the drive before putting the UPD file to the drive. yes of course i hold the two button as if i had not hold the button i would not show the connect the usb drive to usb port 1

Sven Hannawaldt

take care that there is no other USB stick in the right USB slot.

Daniel Subroto

yess no cable is connected only the ac is connected

Pulse

Please try with another USB drive, follow the instructions on this video to properly format it and make sure the only file(s) on the drive are the unzipped update files.
