USB Connection problem on CDJ - 900

Hi guys,

I have purchased 2 CDJ 900's recently. Im having a big problem with getting the machines to read from my usb stick.

I own 2 128GB Titan USB sticks. Last night one of the machines could read from the stick, the other one machine could not read from my other stick and continued to say "no usb".

Today, i plugged in both sticks, and both the machines could not read from either of them.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

First question would be have you formatted them to FAT32? Second is have you tried any USB sticks?

Gavin

@Chris > Are both players on the latest firmware? Is the format of the sticks FAT rather than NTFS?

Gavin

Wait, aren't Titan encrypted storage USBs?

Hi Gavin

I needed to update to 4.11. The purchased 2 cd900s came with the 4.10 update.

They are encrypted, well one of them has the encryption software on it - is it best i remove that?

They are both using FAT 32.

Cheers

Chris

Gavin

@Chris > I'd just suggest you use some other USB sticks instead, ensuring they are also formatted to FAT32. USB sticks with anything other than audio files could cause problems.

Pulse

@Chris > There is an encryption-removal utility available online, you may want to use that as well as formatting the drives.

@Gavin @Pulse Thanks, will do this.

Gavin

@Chris > Great, thanks - let us know how it goes.
