Scratching on first beat

Hi all, quick question. I find when I am scratching the first beat of a tune to bring it in, sometimes the tune kicks back to the previous tune and my hand position on the platter has to change to get it back to the first beat. Is there a way of avoiding this? It seems to happen almost randomly, but  makes stutter scatches quite difficult.

Have you disabled your AutoCue?

Snowmonkey

No I have autocue switched on. Should I disable it?

Pulse

Give that a try and see if it alleviates the issue you're having and let me know!

Snowmonkey

Will do and I will let you know. Thanks, thought it might be something simple.

turning auto cue off will not fix this issue, the 2000's have it too, Auto cue off only stops the track from stopping if you scratch on the first beat, No matter what setting you use it will always roll back to the end of the previous track so if it ends on a beat, then you will pick it up on the back scratch which sucks, I wish they could stop that somehow, I know the competitors players do not do this

It is better without autocue, but doesn't really solve the problem. Can i request an update for the next firmware? I see in the above thread that it has already been suggested for the 2000s. Don't forget the lil ol' 850's as well!

The question mentioned the hand position on the platter - and that issue is resolved with auto cue disabled, that way the playback doesn't "stop and lock" when the track flips over the 00:00:00 marker.  The fact that it plays the audio at the tail end of the previous track is a separate issue... and you certainly can request it but there's no promise it will be available in the next update or any update for this player.
