Xdj-xz not connecting with Serato Dj pro

Xdj-xz not connecting with Serato Dj pro

Need help please, my xdj-xz is not connecting to Serato Dj pro. I have updated Serato and the xdj-xz to the latest update and firmware. Every time I start Serato it fails to connect to midi and the xdj unit. Any information is appreciated at this point. Thank you.

Which OS are you on, and have you previously used the XZ with rekordbox?

I am running OS Ctalina 10.15.3. When I load rekordbox it works fine except that the output sound comes out of my computer. I can't seem to change the output settings. I am not worried too much about Rekordbox because I planned on using this mostly for Serato DJ.

Okay, so that tells me you may have not installed things properly - let's get that sorted.

  1. Disconnect the XZ from the computer.
  2. Download the drivers again.
  3. Unzip them and run the uninstaller from within that package.
  4. Reboot.
  5. Run the installer.
  6. Be sure to allow the drivers to be installed through the OS security by following the instructions here (this was likely missed last time).
  7. Reboot.
  8. Connect the XZ.
  9. Launch Serato and try again.

update the xdj xz and update Serato dj pro to the latest version, just connecting with usb will work
