DDJ XP-1 setup with CDJ 900 NXS, will it work?
Hey, I’ve read numerous posts similar to this but haven’t found a definitive answer yet! I’ve got a cdj 900 nxs setup with a djm 800 and I’m looking to acquire a DDJ XP-1, mainly for the addition of hot cues. In response to what I am reading, I just need to know if I can use the xp1 as a stand-alone controller through the interface of the cdj, and won’t need a laptop, as I really upgraded to move away from the laptop! Any help is appreciated!

it will not work in standalone mode. it only works standalone on the xdj1000mk2 and 2knxs2. you have to use the cdjs in Performance mode to get this combination working.
Ah, that’s gutting! So is performance mode not available on the 900 nxs? And if not, is there any other method that could allow me to use hot cues on the 900nxs?
of Course you can use hid/perf mode with the 900nxs. and yes thats the only way to use hotcues (with a Controller).
