CDJ-800 mk2 with ddj rr
i have been using my DDJ-RR for 2 years now. Yesterday a friend of mine suggested to give me his CDJ-800 mk2. I am wondering, what do i need to get these badboys (CDJ-800) work on my DDJ- RR? Btw i use rekordbox.

@Thierry > You can connect the line input to the back of the DDJ-RR. The CDJ-800MK2 doesn't have USB, so it can't be used as a controller, and there's really no point in using it as a timecode device as the RR already outperforms any capability the 800 has.
Do I need to upgrade to rekordbox des though?
No, you would simply be playing audio through the DDJ-RR from the CDJ; switch the channel input selector to the LINE input and play music! rekordbox would show that deck as "IN USE."
