Can I use music from my external drive that I'm already using for Serato to feed Rekordbox? Will there be any conflicts between the 2 if both are reading and analyzing etc from the same place (obvs not at the same time!)

I think you should be fine here as my understanding is the analysis etc. of RB and Serato is held in their respective databases as opposed to altering the source audio file in anyway. As you mention, I would not run RB and Serato at the same time - I tried this once and had issues.
