gebrauchter Controller

If the seller has chosen to sell the record box license, they will need to file an inquiry ticket with our record box support team to have the license released from their Pioneer DJ account so you can register it to your own. Simply deactivating it doesn't do that as that's used to transfer the license to another computer within your own account.
Den Verkäufer muss den Lizenz freischalten, ich glaube durch ein Support Ticket mit der Rekordbox team.
The former owner can deactivate his own license by checking the RB settings menu - license. Hit deactivate, and a pop-up menu will confirm the deactivation.
When you tranfer a Serato license, then yes, you have to e-mail Serato support, if they can transfer the linked e-mail address and license to new e-mail address.
Hi Pulse, thanks for the official comment, but this option is new to me...
I’ve asked the same question to your Pioneer colleague Gabriel, via e-mail to support.
If they could transfer my RB license to the new owner where I sold my controller to.
The answer was (copy-paste from e-mail)
Except that it's not 100% accurate; the deactivation does NOT release it from the user account for use with another account. I'll speak with Gabriel about that.
That was my concern too Pulse, but after the confirmation e-mail from Ganriel the new owner confirmed that my deactived license worked out fine with his new activation.
In my account status only the new bought RB license is visible, together with my existing RB Effects license. (I bought a new RB license for my CDJ’s and DJM-900SRT, to continue using RB next to my Serato license, then provided with the DJM-900SRT and DDJ-SP1.)
Feel free to contact me directly if you think there are still additional license transfer actions to be taken in my case. Otherwise ask Gabriel to look in the e-mail history with me.
@Theo > I've found the ticket and I've already messaged him about it to verify that they didn't take some other action internally.
Good to know, and if I can help in any way, just let me know via e-mail.
And actually a bit funny that Gabriel never mentioned any inquiry form to make the license transfer. Serato also askes this way of transferring a license. Just e-mail their support with old and new owner info, and they will re-activate the license key on the new owners e-mail address.
I wish it were easier for users to DIY... lol
Maybe yes, but looking toward possible license abuse or license stealing, maybe not.
