Video Questions

Hi everyone

A couple of the venues I play at are implementing TV screens and I am looking to take advantage of this with video DJ'ing. My library is currently 95% audio while I build my video collection.

Obviously mixing an .mp4 file is straighforward, what I'd like to know is if it is possible to load an .mp3 or other audio file onto a deck if I don't have a video for that song, and have a generic, preselected video play, if the file I've loaded doesn't have a video (IE is an audio file).

I have looked into using other software but would rather keep my collection in one place!

Thanks :)

Yes, you can.  You have several options.  You can:

  1. select a specific internal visualizer
  2. select a visualizer and display it randomly
  3. select a visualizer when loading a track and display it
  4. select video in a specific folder and display it
  5. select video in a specified folder when loading and display it randomly (I use this a lot)
  6. select video in a specified folder when loading a track and display it
  7. display artwork of the track
  8. do nothing

You actually have the ability to handle deck 1 differently than deck 2, although I don't know of a use case for that.
