DDJ-1000 output to one speaker...does it become automatically Mono?
If I output my DDJ-1000 to one speaker only, does the audio get sent in mono or still in stereo?

No it outputs in Stereo, if you are only using one side out try using the left side.
Why the left side?
Seems that sends more of the mix out from most tracks, you could experiment as well and see if you get better sound out of left or right.
if your using only 1 speaker change the audio setting from stereo to mono in rekordbox. then you will have the full track mix into one so nothing is lost no matter if you choose left or right.
