Tips to reduce latency DDJ-SZX

Hi, I'm loving this new DDJ-SZX but I was wondering if anyone has any tips to reduce latency other than changing the sample size. I have a pretty powerful laptop but I still get a slight lag when scratching and loading could be a bit better.

Did you mean DDJ-RZX, DDJ-SZ, or DDJ-SX?

Check this KB article for some basic instructions, let me know if nothing there resolves the issue and we can pursue other troubleshooting options.

Over the weekend I did some more work with the DDJ RZX. The latency seems to still be a concern. In addition, I was getting some popping and drop outs which I usually hear when the samples are set too low. Other than the 2.8GHZ models this is one of Apples most powerful MacBook Pros. So, I'm a bit concerned. Other than setting the samples back to 512 (11.5ms) what other options do I have?

You could opt for an even higher buffer, but also ensure that you have a good quality USB3-rated cable connecting the controller (yes, I know it's a USB2 device, but the cable can make a difference).

Which model ID is your MBP?

MJLT2LL/A (I think) .Mid 2015 2.5 GHZ i7 (4870HQ) 512GB SSD 16GB Ram

I'll try different cables and see what happens.

Hi Pulse

Intresting tips. Sorry for now hijacking thread but the USB3-cable-solution. Is this also something that can make a diffrence to the DDJ-RZ to!?

Thaks.

@Nightlife > No, that device doesn't have the same bandwidth needs as the RZX.
