PLX-500 Elavated platter
The Spinning base of my PLX 500 is elevated, this is due to the wider spinning metal connected to the rotor being higher than usual. My other PLX -500 does not have this issue. I tried pushing it down, but it is locked in place and don't want to break it. Is this normal? or is there a way to get the wider Metal in the centre down so it has a better fit?

I'm sorry to hear about that issue - I'm not sure what the issue might be, but if you just bought it, perhaps consider contacting the retailer for an exchange. If it's older, then please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your turntable inspected and/or repaired.
