Connecting DDJ-RB Controller to Laptop.

I just bought a Second hand pioneer DDJ-RB to connect to my Laptop for home mixing, but cannot get it to connect to Laptop. The seller said it came with full record box licence. i downloaded record box but it will not connect to Controller. It will only work in performance mode after I did 30 day free trial. Please help.
