Rekordbox DJ and the MEP-7000

Any chance of Rekordbox DJ working with the MEP-7000 as a control unit rather than DVS with the Interface 2? Pioneer has it working with the first gen CDJ-2000/900 (which are only a year or two younger than the MEP). Virtual DJ Pro (the latest one) still supports the MEP-7000, just holding out for any hope as my unit has been solid for 10 years!
