Possible to add custom midi map to DDJ SX2 performance pads?

I know the DJM S9 allows for custom mapping of the performance pads, and I was wondering if the DDJ SX2 could do the same? What I'd like to do is map the Key Shift/Sync to the pads. The top 4 pads could be used as cue points and the 2 lower right pads could be used for + and - key shift in 1 semitone increments, one pad for key lock to return back to original key, and the final pad for key sync. This will allow the DJ to be free from laptop keyboard shortcuts and just use the hardware. Thanks for the help!

Absolutely - just edit those in the MIDI mapping. If it tells you they're already assigned, you can customize them. Here's the default hardware diagram.

Very good news! Probably a dumb question, but I've never midi mapped a controller or mixer before. Is it simple code or something done right within Serato DJ? I have no idea where to begin, but I know I'd like to map what I explained above in the "velocity sampler" area as that is a feature that I rarely use.

Easy, but a bit tedious; go into the MIDI section, find the function you want to assign, press the button, boom.
