Reverb differences between DJM-800 and newer models

Hey there!

I noticed that on my DJM-800 (which isn't the newest anymore), the Reverb works differently than with other models I tried it on.

With the DJM-800 I have I only can get it to produce a very metallic, short decayed reverb. What I'm searching for however is that long tailed, full reverb to make a transition smoother or to cut a track at a point, similar to the echo function. Is there a way to use the reverb also in the way I intend to with the DJM-800 or is this something that requires a newer model?

Hope you can help me out.

Greetz,

Alex

It certainly has improved on future DJMs, but unfortunately there's no way to improve / change this on the DJM-800. Sorry!

Thanks for the help!

I suppose the DJM-750 MK2 has improved this feature?

Would I be lacking any vital features if I'd exchange my DJM-800 with it?

Yes, I feel the 750MK2's effects are better than those of the DJM-800.

No, I would say that the 750MK2 is pretty much an 800MK2. lol
