importing playlist

Hi please someone help

I recently wiped my hard drive of laptop and went from windows 8 to win 10 . I saved all my playlists onto external harddrive but when I go to import them to rekordbox it comes up with 1 or more files could not be imported . When I look at the log its all files that are in my dropbox in different folders

How are you trying to "import" them?

Dick Jackson

Through file - import - import playlist

Pulse

Yeah, that's not the best way to do it when trying to recover from an export device. I'll post up a video with instructions a bit later.

Any chance of that vid ?

Nightmare !!!  My hard drive don't show up in devices but shows up in explorer but the playlists don't show up

Pulse

@Dick > How to ensure it will appear in the devices list:

- it's connected by USB
- it's formatted FAT32 or HFS+

Dick Jackson

Yeah its formatted in nfts is that a problem ?

Pulse

NTFS can be used as source drive for importing music to the collection, but as it's not FAT32 or HFS+, which are compatible for use with Pioneer DJ devices, it won't be detected as a "Device" under rekordbox and can't be used for the import procedure here.

You can clone the drive to a FAT32 drive, or use a utility to change the filesystem type, but be sure it's a non-destructive change!
