Problems with using XDJ-RX as a Midi
Hi guys,
I recently a purchased rekordbox DJ performance licence to use with my XDJ-RX however I am having some issues with getting sound out of my speakers.
I thought it might be an issue with the firmware so I have updated that to 2.20 but I'm still have the same issue where sound comes out of my laptop speaker but not my actual speakers. I have put the controller into midi controller mode in the utility folder but still have the same problem.
I recall being prompted to choose which output speaker I required when I first installed the pioneer DJ software and I selected my laptop at the time but have no idea how to reset this to an external speaker so that I can use it in performance mode in the club I play in.
Any help would be much appreciated as right now I'm unable to enjoy my recent purchase.

@Danny > Try changing the audio output configuration in your preferences to the XDJ-RX2 instead of your internal audio device.
You can also disable the PC Master Output by clicking the icon at the top right beside the preferences (gear) icon:
Thanks Pulse. I've tried this as well but not having much luck. The second part about disabling the PC master - I don't have this icon displayed next to the gear icon. I am using an xdj rx not an xdj rx2. I think the second part of your answer is what I need but I don't know where to find the icon!

Can you post a screenshot of the audio settings page from the rekordbox preferences?
Can you PIONEER guys PLEASE put the Firmware updates and drivers (MAC) back up on the website for the NOW legacy, archived, Discontinued: XDJ-RX..
This may be the issue with the MIDI not recognizing the laptops
The XDJ-RX2 is neat and all but a lot of us are still getting going on the antiquated XDJ-RX,

Hi pulse, yes I will post a screen shot but how do I do this? Does the icon in your screen shot only show when an RX2 in connected to rekordbox software? I just need to find this icon and I believe the issue will be fixed!
Pulse, This is what my display shows in rekordbox at the top of my screen. As you can see this is different to the screenshot you posted earlier.
I do not have the option or the icon displayed to disable the 'PC master' output.
Your help would be appreciated.

Hi Pulse, I've just watched your YouTube video and I've managed to work out the issue. I didn't have the drivers installed for the xdj rx on my computer so I've now installed these and now it's working! Thank you so much for your help! Danny
