Question about track analysing

Hello,

I was wondering: could it be that, every time I rescan my library, for example after a format, Rekordbox beatgrids differently? This seems to occur on my macbook after doing a clean install. Tracks that were perfectly gridded and synced without any issue now suddenly don't quantize correctly anymore. I have to manually adjust the pitch almost every time (& something I don't mind doing) but it wasn't like this a while ago.

Are there certain settings I need to adjust or correct? I select NORMAL analysing most of the time (the default setting). I seems logical to me that a specific algoryhtm for this software should give the same results for the same track every tim, or am I wrong here?

Thx in advance!

Nope. Nobody. Ever. ;)  Seriously though, you posted yesterday at 8:55am and asked for a follow-up less than 26hrs later... during Miami Music Week! We're working hard to get to all the posts here and in our ticket system, of which there are hundreds every day, during one of the busiest weeks of the year for our team, so if we took more than 24 hours, our apologies.

To answer your question...

If you are re-analysing tracks, my question is ... why? If they've already been analysed and had their beat grids adjusted, why are you scanning them again? If you want to do the entire library but not lose the work you've already performed, consider locking the tracks instead. Select the one(s) you want to lock, right-click and select Analysis Lock > On.

Does anybody even read this forum?

Sometimes I want a clean install and especially when I have completely reorganised my complete library but that wasn't the question. Shouldn't it detect the exact same grid and pitch when scanning a file several times?

That's what I meant. This forum is dead.

Still no decent answer?
