Pioneer ddj-sz Audio output

 Recently I upgraded to the SZ I downloaded all the correct drivers , I have noticed that the output is not the same as my SX controller .. I can have the volume set at 3 on the sx and to even get close to that I have to set the SZ just over half .. So I assumed maybe there was something wrong with the controller and I went back to the store where they had another SZ and I am getting the same thing so have they changed something in the audio output on the SZ or is there something wrong with the audio driver
