Just purchased a new mac and I've an issue re Rekorbox not being able to read the XML file and hence nothing being imported.

Two things...
1) Check in iTunes that you have set the XML sharing enabled:
2) Close iTunes and wait a couple of minutes for the XML file to be updated.
If you already enabled iTunes within rekordbox, it will then show up after you click it (and possibly click the refresh).
Which XML file, iTunes?
yes.
it still reads : 'unable to be read properly'
Can you please go to rekordbox > Preferences > Advanced and on the Databases tab, check the iTunes Library File location?
