Odd "wobbly" sound from monitors - Pioneer DJM 250

2x KRK Rokit 5
I've just bought all the gear listed above, but had the KRK Rokits before the cdjs etc. I have been mixing today and the speakers when the gains are in the green were making a wobbly type sound on the kickdrums. I played my iPhone through the speakers and no noise.
Could it be connection?
CDJs?
The mixer (bought second hand from cash converters)?

you have multiple inputs so ya try another type of input in to the KRK and see if it goes away.
Dubstep any one just kidding couldn't resist it when you said the sound was wobbly, it's it bit dull on here sometimes so
