[SOLVED] xdj-r1 via rekordbox for android

The answer is no, I have a XDJ Aero and a R1 (until it works, I will keep my Aero, and not forever...) , I tested it, and Rekordbox Mobile on my Nexus 7 is not working with XDJ R1. The device is not recognized.

I do not understand why, because Rekordbox Mobile is much more stable and has much more functionalties for browsing than Remotebox, until a fix comes ...

I think this is just a volunteer and commercial limitation, because there is no technical issue, as there is WIFI like Aero, so why not R1?

I prefer android device. I hope, that pioneer will have support for android.

@Mitchel den Hartog: I think he really means Rekordbox. I had a XDJ Aero, and Rekordbox mobile for android  is a very good application that would perfectly fit with the XDJ-R1, the USB browser of Rekordbox Mobile is way better than Remotebox for the moment (cues recognized, categories).

For an unknown reason Rekordbox mobile is not compatible with XDJ R1, a thing that I do not understand except for commercial reasons, beacuase on a technical point of view, both Aero and R1 have wifi.

On the other hand, I think you guys should not rely on a Remotebox android version, the Android core system will never be able to do the real time things Remotebox is allowing, and I'm a very big android fan, but I'm realistic.

The XDJ-Aero and XDJ-R1 are two very different units with different built in functionality and features. As it stands, the R1 does not support connecting rekordbox, whether via mobile device (iOS or Android) or laptop - for that you will need the Aero.
