[SOLVED] Beats in Waveform Display

If i change the waveform to display the number of beats or bars it does not show anything, just a flat line.  I have tried to re analyse but this does not change anything.

Pulse

You mean using the hamburger button on the right side of the single player?

MarKh

Hamburger button lol, yes if i change this to show beats or bars nothing shows on the display its just blank

Pulse

Does it look like this?

MarKh

Its this part

I hope you can see it all

MarKh

Sorry, i'll try again

Pulse

Hold on, you mean the waveform is blank or the beats / bars counter doesn't show a number?

MarKh

The beats bar counter does not show anything and when I change the Beat Count Display to Current Position Bars it never starts at 0, this is on every track.

MarKh

I have worked it out, it was my error.

I still have an issue with the current bar display as explained above though, it never starts at 0

Pulse

It's not supposed to start at zero. Do you ever start counting at zero? ;)

MarKh

ah, but if you look at the picture on my previous reply, the time starts from zero, which is the beginning of the track and as you know 4 beats = 1 bar so why does it show the start as 1.1 bar when 4 beats has not passed?

Pulse

Probably because that was showing a different count method - beats instead of bars.

MarKh

Still, it should not be showing 1.1 bars when no beats have bee completed

liam t

1.1 indicates that it is the 1st beat of the 1st bar.

Bar*1.Beat1*

1.1

This then extends all the way up to the 4th beat of the 1st bar (1.4), before beginning the** 2*nd bar with the **1st beat again (2.1*). Etc,Etc.

MarKh

When you put it like that, it makes complete sense.

Thank You

Pulse

We'll assume that this issue is resolved and not an actual issue surrounding the display not showing properly. Should you have any other need for support with this issue, please start a new topic and link back to this one for reference. Thanks!
