DDJ SB MIC INPUT problems with traktor or others...
Hello,
I just bought a Pioneer DDJ SB with mic input.
When I plug a mic (Shure SM 58), there is no sound at all.
The controller works fine, but I never success to activate the mic input and use it correctly.
Can you help me ?
Thanks a lot

You need to assign the mic input to one of the channels within Traktor; it isn't a hardware microphone channel.
My problem is like Ed's, but when I connect a Mic , i can hear it thru the controller's main output , but it wont capture in Traktor or on OSX Mavericks, is there a fix for this ?
I have setup a channel in Traktor, also have tried to monitor in 'Sound' on Mac , with no luck.
Mavericks and Traktor 2.6 also.
Thanks ,
Rob

@Noe > Are you adjusting the mic input level on the left side of the controller? Are you using a balanced (TRS) or unbalanced (TS) cable?
The mic is just a audio through and isn't selectable for use on windows or mac on Traktor Pro 2.
So disappointing, is my controller faulty ?
No, that's the design of the hardware.
@Pulse: So if I am interested in recording podcasts this isn't the pair of decks that I should be looking at?
please my controller mic port is not working sb2
@jimba > Are you using a balanced mic connection or unbalanced?
The DDJ-SB2 only supports unbalanced cables and thus the connector may not be making proper contact. Please use an unbalanced plug with the SB2.
