[SOLVED] after loading fresh track into CDJ-2000NXS, how do i disable needle lock?

basically, i like to be able to load up a fresh track, and search around to where in the track i want to bring it in.. it's really inconvenient that "needle lock" keeps appearing every time i try to touch it, and i wanted to see if there was a way to disable this, or how to work around it.. thanks!

Looshus

Play the track, hold your hand on the platter in vinyl mode so the playback stops, while holding your hand there you can use the needle drop.

BriChi

exactly what Looshus said, i do the same, load a track then rest my palm on the edge of the platter to stop the track and use my finger to jump a part

Gavin

Needle Lock is engaged to prevent from accidentally pressing the touch strip and inadvertently jumping to another section of the track. Therefore, the track has to be "stopped". To do this you can press the Play/Pause button or, as Looshus and BriChi have suggested,  depress the jog platter with one hand then use the touch strip.
