[SOLVED] CDJ 850 track number display

if I put in a USB stick, start browsing, with v1.08, the track number stays at '00' eventhough I am scrolling thru the tracks.

Only and only if I first select a track it starts displaying something else than 00 ... that's not what I'd expect....

this means that if yoiu are on track 17 and need to go to track 33; you cannot use the browse function unless you happen to know the name of the song. however, browsing the list to fast will skip parts of the list.

The only reliable reason is to stay in info mode and use rackforward/back <xx> times to navigate to the right track.

Obviously that will not work beyond 99 tracks.

@Roeland > Do you use rekordbox? Under what category are you searching? Have you the file names tagged with 00-<data>, 01-<data> etc?

Roeland Jansen

@Gavin, this obviously is without rekordbox. I'm referring to the basic controls of the player itself.

When using rekordbox, the story is different, just like the waveforms stuff -- the player itself does not do a good job there; rekordbox itself does.

@Roeland > Ah sorry, I get your first post now - I thought it was to do with the way you were tagging your music (not in rekordbox but in Windows or whatever). I'll report this.

OK Gavin NP.

Let me know.

The track number display is an indicator for the current track playing, not where you are in your list.
