I have this problem as well
PLugged Speakers into DDJ-SB3 and set output as SB3 on Mac still no sound

Do you have the channel 1 trim and level up, as well as the master?
heres my settings
Your Master volume is really low and the channel 1 filter is all the way up.
Ive rectified these two settings but still no speaker output
